Doc\u00adteur en m\u00e9decine dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e en 1989, elle choisit de se sp\u00e9\u00adcialis\u00ader en p\u00e9di\u00ada\u00adtrie.&nbsp;Cette for\u00adma\u00adtion m\u00e9di\u00adcale forge sa sen\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adit\u00e9 aux prob\u00adl\u00e8mes de san\u00adt\u00e9, en par\u00adti\u00adc\u00aduli\u00ader ceux touchant les enfants et les femmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La moder\u00adnit\u00e9 incar\u00adn\u00e9e : Une \u00e8re nou\u00advelle au som\u00admet de l\u2019\u00c9\u00adtat gabonais<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En \u00e9pou\u00adsant Omar Bon\u00adgo le 4 ao\u00fbt 1990, \u00c9dith devient la Pre\u00admi\u00e8re dame du Gabon.&nbsp;Elle incar\u00adne une nou\u00advelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ra\u00adtion \u00e0 la t\u00eate de l\u2019\u00c9\u00adtat, appor\u00adtant un souf\u00adfle de moder\u00adnit\u00e9 et d\u2019ou\u00adver\u00adture. Son style, alliant \u00e9l\u00e9\u00adgance et prag\u00adma\u00adtisme, mar\u00adque un tour\u00adnant dans la per\u00adcep\u00adtion du r\u00f4le de Pre\u00admi\u00e8re dame en Afrique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ses \u0153uvres et son action pour les pop\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions au Gabon ; sa fon\u00adda\u00adtion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9dith Bon\u00adgo s\u2019in\u00advestit pleine\u00adment dans des actions car\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtives, notam\u00adment la lutte con\u00adtre le sida.&nbsp;Elle cr\u00e9e la fon\u00adda\u00adtion Hori\u00adzons nou\u00adveaux pour aider les enfants hand\u00adi\u00adcap\u00e9s et par\u00adticipe \u00e0 la fon\u00adda\u00adtion de l\u2019Or\u00adgan\u00adi\u00adsa\u00adtion des Pre\u00admi\u00e8res dames d\u2019Afrique con\u00adtre le sida (OPDAS).&nbsp;Son engage\u00adment se con\u00adcr\u00e9\u00adtise \u00e9gale\u00adment par la cr\u00e9a\u00adtion de la poly\u00adclin\u00adique El Rapha \u00e0 Libre\u00adville, une struc\u00adture san\u00adi\u00adtaire de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sa mort au Maroc et la stu\u00adpeur g\u00e9n\u00e9rale<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9dith Bon\u00adgo d\u00e9c\u00e8de le 14 mars 2009 \u00e0 Rabat, au Maroc, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 45 ans, apr\u00e8s une longue mal\u00adadie.&nbsp;Sa dis\u00adpari\u00adtion soudaine provoque une onde de choc au Gabon et au-del\u00e0. Le gou\u00adverne\u00adment gabonais d\u00e9cr\u00e8te un deuil nation\u00adal, t\u00e9moignant de l\u2019im\u00adpact pro\u00adfond de cette perte sur le pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Con\u00adclu\u00adsion\u00adSaluer sa m\u00e9moire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La m\u00e9moire d\u2019\u00c9dith Bon\u00adgo reste vivace, tant pour son action human\u00adi\u00adtaire que pour son r\u00f4le de mod\u00adernisatrice au sein de la pr\u00e9si\u00addence gabonaise. Son engage\u00adment en faveur des plus vul\u00adn\u00e9rables et sa lutte con\u00adtre le sida ont mar\u00adqu\u00e9 son \u00e9poque et con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00adent d\u2019in\u00adspir\u00ader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Que devient son \u0153uvre et son h\u00e9ritage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019h\u00e9ritage d\u2019\u00c9dith Bon\u00adgo per\u00addure \u00e0 tra\u00advers les insti\u00adtu\u00adtions qu\u2019elle a cr\u00e9\u00e9es, notam\u00adment la fon\u00adda\u00adtion Hori\u00adzons nou\u00adveaux et la poly\u00adclin\u00adique El Rapha.
