Fond\u00e9 en 1875 par les fr\u00e8res Beshara et Saleem Tak\u00adla, ce quo\u00adti\u00addi\u00aden \u00e9gyp\u00adtien n\u2019est pas seule\u00adment un jour\u00adnal ; c\u2019est une insti\u00adtu\u00adtion qui a surv\u00e9cu aux monar\u00adchies, aux r\u00e9vo\u00adlu\u00adtions et aux guer\u00adres, se forgeant une r\u00e9pu\u00adta\u00adtion de \u201cGar\u00addi\u00aden\u201d des let\u00adtres arabes.
